Fed up with the sterile debate about personal versus public transport? If you get the chance in the next few weeks, nip over to Heathrow Terminal 5 and try an Ultra pod. It’s an entirely new concept and it seems to work. We wouldn’t dream of making grand predictions, but it looks as though small self-guided machines like these will become more common in congested areas. And of course they integrate well with folding bikes too…
Elsewhere, we take a look at the Bosch crank-drive, review the new Tern folding bike range, pour a cup of on-the-go coffee and go folder – camping in Sussex by train and Brompton. As the Bosch came on an Emotion MTB, we also ticked off a new experience – power-assisted off-roading. It’s a cross between mountain biking, motorcycling and pony trekking. Seriously good fun.
